ABOUT
Alex Osiatynski has been an educator for over 20 years and, for the eight years until July 2021, Headmaster of Bilton Grange, a top boarding and day prep school in England.
After his secondary education at Dulwich College, London, Alex studied at Oxford University before becoming a teacher in a number of independent schools in the UK and, for a short time, abroad. As well as teaching in the classroom he has conducted choirs and orchestras and made a number of recordings as well as composing music for orchestras, choirs and for the stage. From 2009 to 2013 he was Director of the Music School and Foundation Assistant Headmaster for the Loughborough Schools Foundation, a family of three schools (now four) and over 2000 pupils, all served by one music team under Alex's leadership.

Since 2013, as a Headmaster, Alex has led academic and boarding provision for children from the UK and across the world, whilst personally preparing many pupils for entrance to leading independent schools, schools with which he has strong connections.

As well as a Master of Arts from Oxford and a teaching qualification from the Roehampton Institute, Alex also has a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Buckingham University, a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) qualification and is a Fellow of both the Institute of Leadership and Management and the Royal Society for the Arts.
Alex was until recently a Director of IAPS (The Independent Association of Prep Schools) and the Chairman of the Finance Committee. Alex is also a Trustee of the Edyvean Walker David Lindop Charity which awards travel grants to young people in the Rugby area and has previously served as the governor of two maintained primary schools.​

Alex held until 2022 a public (UK government) appointment as a teacher conduct panellist for the Teacher Regulation Agency and is a Trustee (governor) of the Leicester Grammar School Trust.

Alex has been an inspector with ISI, which monitors independent schools in the UK, since 2008; in 2022 he became a Reporting (lead) Inspector and in 2023 was trained to lead inspections for the new F23 Inspections Framework.

In 2023 Alex also completed the ILM Level 7 qualification in Executive Coaching.
